The numerology portrait
A name and a birth date, read as numbers
A numerology portrait is a personal profile that numerologists prepare from a person's name and date of birth.
What goes into it
The date of birth is reduced to a single digit to give the life path number. The letters of the full name are given their values and added in the same way to give a name number. The portrait collects these numbers and describes what each one is said to mean.
What it says
A portrait is meant to describe character, strengths, motivations and potential, in the numerologist's terms. Some practitioners also draw the numbers as a geometric figure, so that the name and the date become an image as well as a text.
How to read one
A numerology portrait is a symbolic description, in the same way that a sun sign is. Many people use one as a prompt for thinking about themselves. It is not a measurement and it is not a prediction. The calculator on the numerology page makes the two basic numbers in your browser.
Tarot, astrology and numerology are traditions of symbolism. This page says what the tradition associates with its subject. It does not predict anything and it is not advice.
